Delicia

Delicia in Shingle Springs is a new family owned Mexican restaurant, and it’s so good! I had the birria and horchata, and both were really amazing. I ended up getting another horchata to go. The birria was super flavorful and the horchata was sweet and refreshing. They also gave me chips and salsa, and the salsa was so damn good I couldn’t stop eating it. The people working there were really nice and you can tell they’re a very hardworking family who cares about what they do. The place feels really cozy and colorful, with a fun Mexican vibe. It has a homemade, welcoming feel that makes it special. I’ll definitely be going back and telling everyone to try it.

HUGE shout-out to Hilda and Leo, who run Delicia. They make, by far, the best Mexican food we have ever had. Everything is killer, but the food that stole the show were the 3-meat fajitas, cheese enchiladas, and the fluffiest red rice that will ever tickle your taste buds. Hilda, Leo, and family do all the leg work and still manage to offer a great experience to customers. Thank you for a delicious evening, Delicia!

A small mom and son business bringing amazing authentic Mexican to us!! The food is so delicious just like the name. We had the all meat fajitas and the steak was so good! Bursting with flavor! Must try!!!

The food here is amazing! Everything is fresh and super flavorful. The staff are super attentive and make you feel welcome right away. Definitely my go-to spot for yummy Mexican food.

The restaurant itself is in a bit of an odd location, right off the highway next to an abandoned house and outdoor steel garden animal business, but the food is worth it! Out of all the Mexican restaurants in the area (there’s like 3 including this one) this place had the best burritos-especially the pork and chicken options. The menu isn’t that large, but they do serve more authentic style street Mexican food. It’s very taco truck style food, and the prices reflect that. Their salsas are homemade and the red one is very spicy in a good way. The owner’s son was super kind and was running the place himself with his twin sisters. Overall it’s absolutely worth a visit!

The owner and his mother create special Mexican dishes here that are above and beyond typical Mexican fare. This is a top tier family operation on a food quality basis. Service can be a bit spotty as the owner still doesn't have a waitress helping him and I think he gets overloaded. Ambiance is very basic. Not a date night place. It is family friendly. The enchiladas, and birria is to die for. Get the quesabirria when you first come here as a starter, and if you love really hot salsa, as for the very spicy salsa. Both are INSANELY good. Been here twice, I will be going back regularly, as long as he's not too busy.

Great food! We were shopping next door and the owners recommended this place. The service was awesome too. Their enchilada sauce is delicious and their salsa was fresh. Will definitely make the hour trip to visit again.
